The Child and a Book (Otrok in knjiga)

The journal Otrok in knjiga (The Child and a Book) deals with the questions of juvenile literature, literary education and with media connected with book.

The journal Otrok in knjiga was established in 1971 with the purpose to give effect to juvenile literature as the important and necessary creative field, that should be treated systematically and studied within the literary science.

This is the only journal in Slovenia devoted to the juvenile literature.

As such it is dealing with the contemporary literature for children, it follows the happening on the book market, presents and estimates the books for children and adolescents, their text and artistic contents, their destination for the readers of various stages, their response among young readers, it analyses the effect of various media on reading interests by children and adolescents and gives the didactic base of guidance of young reader.
