The Study collection of juvenile literature, located at the Rotovž Children Library, collects the core reference and specialised literature referring to the areas of juvenile literature and librarianship, book illustrations, psychology of children and adolescents, methodology of pedagogical work in libraries as well as Slovenian juvenile fiction and major serial publications.
The collection was established with joint effort by the Young Readers’ Department and the Child and a Book magazine. It is aimed at scholars of juvenile literature, librarians, pre-school and school teachers, students and anybody whose work is focused on children and adolescents and related to books and art.
At the same time, the compiled material serves as the basis for research during preparation of different forms of activities for young readers.
